This is my review of the Elementary OS, I’m a visual person so here are some pictures.

This is the home screen, which is the only part which seems to work well (with the exception of the login screen).

This is me trying to setup Geary, which could never load properly. I think it might have something to do with self-signed certificates.

Geary crashed, so I went to report the bug:

and then Midori crashed

and then it said my computer was crap

And then I went to login to my website, and midori continued to crash (I didn’t bother taking screenshots of that).

Positives:

  • Login screen looks great
  • Applications menu is fantastic to use
  • Animations are smooth, no sense of lag like in Ubuntu

Negatives:

  • Couldn’t browse the web
  • Couldn’t read email
  • Needs more OSX silver
